Let me share a cautionary tale about my terrible online shopping experience with GlassesUSA, hoping you won't fall into the same trap. I shelled out an extra $48 for premium Super Hydrophobic coating, but these lenses are nearly impossible to clean! I have nine pairs from Zenni with no such issue, proving this isn't user error. When I tried to address this clear defect, I was offered only a 50% store credit and told I'd wait 3-5 days for an email from a review team, without a live agent option. This frustrating situation compelled me to contact customer service and leave this review.
Customer: My glasses, order #105180754, have a defective Super Hydrophobic coating. I paid extra for it, and these lenses are impossible to clean. I need a replacement pair. CS Rep: I'm very sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulty cleaning your lenses. That's certainly not the experience we want for our customers, especially with a premium coating. Customer: It's extremely frustrating. I was told I'd only get a 50% store credit for a return, and that I have to wait 3-5 days for an email from a review team. This is a defect, not a preference, and I've been wearing glasses for 60 years. I just want the product I paid for, correctly treated. CS Rep: I understand your frustration with the process and the offer. While our standard policy involves a store credit for returns, for a defect like this, we do need our review team to assess. I can confirm your request for a replacement with correctly applied coating has been escalated. Customer: So I still have to wait days for an email and can't just speak to someone now to get this resolved? It's unacceptable for a defect claim.
